Lt. Governor Zuckerman Highlights Forward-Looking Vision In VT Digger Debate
WAITSFIELD: Tonight, Lt. Governor Zuckerman continued his record of strong and winning debate performances in the VT Digger debate moderated by Anne Galloway.
Lt. Governor Zuckerman highlighted his focus on investing in Vermonters and Vermont’s economy and passing a climate jobs plan to put Vermonters back to work. He also highlighted his plans to invest in Vermont’s infrastructure in broadband, affordable housing, and weatherization to address the climate crisis, create good-paying jobs, and save working Vermonters money.
Lt. Governor Zuckerman presented clear differences between himself and Governor Scott on policies that the majority of Vermonters agree with: raising the minimum wage, addressing the climate crisis with the urgency it deserves and investing in broadband immediately.
Lt. Governor Zuckerman’s remarks and vision stood in stark contrast to Governor Scott’s reactive answers which were largely retroactive and deferred action on broadband and other economic issues onto Congress.
