Zuckerman for VT Campaign Releases First Campaign Video

BURLINGTON: Today, the Zuckerman for VT campaign released the first candidate video of the election.

Unlike most conventional candidate videos and ads, this video sets a far calmer and more reassuring tone. The video shows Lt. Governor David Zuckerman in his role as a farmer on his VOF-certified organic farm in Hinesburg. David is feeding his sows, hogs, piglets, barn cats and packing his car with carrots for delivery. The video states that, “Piglets still come...Everyone needs to be fed[:]... animals… people…” The ad ends with a uniting message that our life’s work has and will continue to be: “to do better… one day at a time.”

The campaign has used this ad to re-introduce and emphasize David's life work as a farmer, where progress is made one day at a time through everyday progress. While thousands of Vermonters have met David over the years in his role as a public servant: Lt. Governor, Senator, and Representative, and more casually at farmer’s markets across the state, this video presents a more intimate look into David’s work as a farmer and some of the private moments that David has on his farm.

The campaign released the video on social media with a quote from David stating:

“Through early mornings and late nights, through freezing winters and dry summers. Vermonters are strong and we will get through this together… one day at a time. I’m David Zuckerman, and I am running to be your Governor of Vermont.”
